What We Do

Theta Chi Epsilon’s four main pillars are philanthropy, social, cultural, and education. We strive to extend ourselves in each area and are involved in different events, fundraisers, and activities to meet these four pillars.

Philanthropy

Perhaps our biggest push in the past 10 years has been philanthropy and charity work. Chapters are involved in various activities and causes that they may choose on an individual basis or one that has been designated as Theta Chi Epsilon’s national philanthropy of the year. From walks to fundraisers to food/supplies drives, Theta Chi Epsilon is dedicated to serving those in need. Additionally, all sisters are encouraged to bring their own charities to Theta Chi Epsilon so that we can continually be aiding new people in need and also supporting each other as sisters for our own causes. Please see below for a partial list of philanthropies that we have supported.

  • Juvenile Diabetes Foundation
  • Red Cross
  • Alzheimer’s Association
  • Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America
  • Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
  • Autism
  • American Cancer Society
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • City of Hope
  • Goodwill
  • Kenneth Norris Cancer Center
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Salvation Army
  • Sheepfold Shelter
  • Toys for Tots
  • Plus, many more!

Social

Theta Chi Epsilon sisters are also fun! We enjoy spending time with each other and have social events throughout the year that give us a chance just to get together. Whether it’s a boat cruise around a harbor or just an afternoon poolside, we have fun just being together. Often it’s just your local chapter getting together, but at least once a year, we have a national social event that all members are encouraged to attend.

Cultural

We love learning more about local and foreign cultures. Some of our cultural events include museum visits, cultural performances, gallery exhibits, and more. We love trying new things, so even our business meetings often have a cultural flair to them!

Education

One of our goals is to be continually learning and expanding our knowledge in order to better serve ourselves, our sisters, and others. We aim to do this in every area of our life and educate ourselves in our sorority with educational sessions on sorority by-laws and procedures, general business meeting proceedings, recruitment, among others.
